"Promise."  I said looking her in the eyes.

And I kept my promise, both of them.  It was hard as hell, but we made it work.  Whenever I came home it was like nothing had changed.  Until she turned seventeen, then things got really interesting.  I came home for the summer and Spencer had gotten unbelievably hot.  Needless to say we couldn't wait any longer.  We had seen other people in the years before, but no one compared to Spencer.  It was that summer we became girlfriends.

We've been going strong for almost a year now and I'm finally coming home for good.  I just graduated from NYU with a degree in film studies.  I turned twenty-two last month and it's one month until Spencer's eighteenth birthday and high school graduation.  After that we can do whatever we want and truly be together.  See the four years never really bothered us, but let's see how her parents feel.
