I would play along, but she makes me too nervous. All I can do is smile as I pull my hand back. Then Kyla and Aiden walk up, saving me from a potentially embarrassing moment. Thank God!"Hey Guys! Where have you been?" I ask way to eagerly. Hey, I'm desperate to change the subject from me and Ash. I quickly glance at Ashley and I can tell that she was hoping they wouldn't show up for lunch today.
"Umm...around." They both say a little to quickly, giving each other a knowing sideways glance. This is code for making out somewhere; usually the drama room, which has plenty of place to be secluded. Not that I've ever done that or anything; come on I've only been here five days. But hey a girl's allowed to dream right?
"Sure." Ashley sighs. She hates thinking about her sister making out with some guy. Don't get me wrong Ashley loves Aiden, he's been her best friend since they were ten. The thing is that he feels like her brother and Kyla is her sister so them making out is kind of gross. But if Kyla was going to have a boyfriend, she's glad it's Aiden. At least she knows he won't hurt her.
"Oh, Ash. Aiden and I are going to a movie after school, do you and Spence wanna come?" Kyla asks.
"And watch you two love birds grope each other, I think I'll pass. Besides Spence and I are going to hangout today." Ashley says smiling at me. I'm so glad she said no. I don't know what I would have done if I had to share my time with her.
"Oh, okay have fun. Aiden let's go. Walk me to class." Kyla says getting up. I swear I have never seen two people so wrapped up in each other. "Bye guys!" They wave walking off.
"Why do they bother showing up at lunch at all?" I ask giggling, watching them walk away.
"I know they sure know how to ruin a moment." Ashley mumbles. I'm not sure I was meant to hear that because I swear I just saw Ashley blush and that never happens. Just as I'm about to ask her about what she meant...
RRRRRRRRiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnggggg, RRRRRRRRiiiiiinnnnnnnggggg.
Stupid fucking bell!!! That is the most ungodly sound in the world, and I hate it. One day I swear I'm going to dismantle the whole bell system.
