Have you ever met someone and just knew you would be friends? Well, that's happened to me once in my life and it was this morning. I'm not sure what it is about Ashley, but I can't get enough of her. Sitting in class, she's all I think about. I want to be around her all the time and I feel like if I can just be around her everything is going to be alright. But as nice as that sounds, it scares the shit out of me. I've never felt this way about anyone before and I don't know what to do. I guess I just have to get to know her and see how things play out. I'm Spencer Carlin and let's get back to my life.
Okay, the past hour has been excruciating. I was sitting in English, which is usually my favorite class, but today it became the bane of my existence. This class was the only thing standing in the way of me meeting Ashley at lunch. But now it's finally over and I can barely contain my excitement.
So I walk slowly to the court yard partly to calm myself down and to not seem to eager. I mean I just met the girl, I don't want to come off too strong and scare her off. I need all the friends I can get and I think Ashley is the perfect place to start. I round the corner, scanning the court yard looking for a beautiful brunette when someone waving catches my eye. With a second glance, I notice that it's Ashley and she's sitting at a table full of people.
"Hey Spence, over here!" She yells, flagging me over. Well here goes nothing. I walk over to her table to join Ashley and her friends.
"Hey, what's up?" I say unassuredly.
"Nothing much, just the usual. Let me introduce you to everyone. This is my annoying sister Kyla." She says pointing to the brunette sitting across the table.
"Thanks Ash, love you too sis. Hi Spencer." She says sweetly.
"This meathead," pointing to the muscular guy with his arm around Kyla, "is Aiden. Kyla's better half and one of my oldest and dearest friends."
"Umm...thanks Ash, that was almost sweet. Nice to meet you Spencer." He replies.
"Hi, it's really nice to meet you all. And thanks for letting me sit with you guys." I sincerely say.
"Nah, it's no problem Spence. Trust me, I needed someone to distract me from these two. One can only sit by for so long while they makeout, it's disgusting and I'd actually like to eat my lunch for a change." Ashley laughs.
"Ash, you're jsut jealous cause you don't have anyone to makeout with. I'm sure if you had some cute girl..." Kyla elbowed Aiden in the side and gave him a shut-the-fuck-up look. "Ow..
