Like are you kidding me?! I have a girlfriend, and she’s cute and nearly perfect and so simple, I don’t know if I could get involved with Ashley again…

“kelsey…on my god! you need to read something” I told her going into my Spanish class handing her the letter and she sat down reading it

“wow…she’s so romantic” she replied being sarcastic because she didn’t like Ashley “I know I don’t deserve a second chance but I’m still asking for one” she said quoting her “damn right she doesn’t deserve another chance, spence she treated you like shit”

“I know…” I replied

“so are you going to come up here tonight?” I asked her

“I don’t know…I kind of want to just to yell at her, but I probably wont…I mean what is she going to say? Everything I just read?” I asked her and she laughed

“probably” she replied

“she has the worst timing ever” I told her

“just please don’t get back together with her” she begged me

“trust me I wont…that letter was such bullshit” I said sitting in my seat

Later that night I pulled into school in my mini cooper and it was around 5:50 when I got out of my car in sweat pants and a hoodie because I was colder outside…I was leaning against my car texting a few people waiting for Ashley’s practice to end. I couldn’t just ignore her…I mean yeah we sucked as a couple, but I really hate not having her in my life.

“surprise, surprise” I heard her say and I looked up

“shut up” I told her as she was making fun of me for showing up “how was practice?” I asked

“shitty…I can’t get my fucking shot up…everything’s short” she told me

“you’ll get it” I told her walking over to the driver side of my car and she got in on the passenger side and we sat in there not going anywhere “so what’d you have to say?”

“well you read my letter huh?” she asked

“yeah…I read it” I told her

“and…”

“and what Ashley? What do you want me to say? A year ago you treated me like shit…why the fuck would I want to go through that again?” I asked her

“because I’m not that girl anymore…I mean believe whatever you want Spencer, but you never listened to a lie about me because you knew who I was outside of school…” she told me “…Spencer seriously I’ve been thinking about you so much”

“yeah…I’ve been thinking about you too” I told her

“don’t say it just because I told you…” she said

“I’m not” I told her flat out sounding kind of annoyed

“look I get that we fight, but lets face it, the good times totally outweigh the bad” she told me

“Ashley I have a girlfriend…” I told her

“I know…and who cares she sucks at basketball” she said and I laughed a little

“you are so harsh and you don’t even know her”

“I know she elbowed me in the stomach…that’s some bull shit she’s lucky I didn’t punch her in the fucking face” she told me

“calm down…” I told her looking at her for the first time since the conversation started

“look I just don’t want you to hate me anymore” she pleaded looking at me too

“I never hated you…” I told her “…you just hurt me” I added

“so then let me make it up to you…” she said holding my hand and all I saw were her gorgeous hazel eyes

“it’s so bad that I want to kiss you right now” I told her then she smiled and moved closer to me and I couldn’t help but move in too

“this is taking too long” she said as she came in faster and I put my hand behind her neck holding her in for the kiss because I’d be lying if I acted like I didn’t want it…she caught my bottom lip between hers and that brought me even more into her, it just made me want her even more. Then of course, my cell phone rang “you going to get that?” she asked me between a kiss and I looked at my phone and it was Kristin but I ignored the call and then when I looked back at Ashley and she had this grin on her face and I pulled her into another kiss and her hand rested on my thigh and I held it in mine and she laced our fingers together “want to go back to my place?” she asked slightly out of breath and her eyes just filled with lust

“the only thing stopping me is the time” I told her then she looked at the clock in my car

“shit…” she said “I have a paper to write” she told me

“wait…Ashley Davies is going to do homework?” I asked her while she opened the door

“I told you…I’m not the same girl” she said winking at me then she kissed me quickly before she got out of my car “I’ll call you later” she added then she shut my car door and I took a deep breath and pulled out of the parking spot

“gah! She’s such a good kisser!” I yelled to myself in the car and I swear I could still feel her lips on mine and I just wanted more until my phone rang again “hello?” I said answering the phone  

“hey what’s up?” Kristin asked me

“uh just driving home…” I told her

“oh where’d you go?” she asked

“I had to uh pick something up at Kelsey’s house…” I told her

“oh…so what are you doing this weekend?”

“I don’t know…why? What were you thinking?”

“I have two tickets to The Format and I was thinking of taking my girlfriend…” she said

“that’d be awesome” I told her “what day?”

“Friday night…” she told me “…so you’re up for it?”

“uh duh” I said and she laughed

“awesome…but as much as I’d love to talk to you, I have this huge paper to write so I’ll text you later or something…” she told me

“okay cool…” I replied “…bye”

“peace” she said before hanging up then my phone then I drove home and turned up my new CD and just drowned in the music not wanting to think about Ashley or Kristin.

Spencer Carlin…where do I even start? Yeah we dated and I remember my sophomore year when I met her the first time. I thought she was gorgeous and she had the most addicting smile…and she was an amazing kisser, then when we had our first night together…that basically sealed the deal for us. We dated about six months until I messed up and took her for granted, but I hated how she treated me like shit in front of her friends, like she always had something to prove…

But tonight…when we kissed…I’ll get her back. Who cares if she’s dating some senior from another school, I mean I could get Spencer whenever I want her because I know she still wants to be with me.

The next day at school I was walking to my locker in the student center and I put my stuff away then I saw Spencer come into school and I went up to her by her locker “hey…” I told her

“oh…hey what’s up?” she asked

“nothing much…just thinking about when we could finish that kiss?” I asked her grinning then she punched me in the arm “um…ow” I told her

“don’t talk about that okay?” she snapped at me

“okay well you kissed me back” I told her

“I know I did…” she said “…Ashley I have a girlfriend…”

“not for long…” I told her

“what are you talking about?” she said kind of upset, but knew how to handle it

“you still love me” I said being more quiet than before “and you can deny it all you want, but I know when you’re lying to yourself…” I started

“Ashley…stop it, look we’re not going to date again…” she told me then I just smiled at her

“we will…” I told her “…look I may not be the most romantic girl you’ve ever been with, but one of these days you’re gonna wake up, and you’ll feel the same thing I do and you’re gonna realize how much I love you…and whenever that day is, I’ll still be waiting for you, and you’ll be with me…” I said

“I can’t deal with this right now…” she told me picking her book bag off the floor “…meet me in my car after school” she said smiling at me and I smiled back then I walked away back down into the student center and sat by my friends at one of the tables

“you know she has a girlfriend right?” my friend Brooke asked me

“I know…” I told her

“and clearly that’s never stopped you before” she replied laughing

“nope” I told her laughing then my friends started laughing too

“you are so over your head” she told me

“but she always loves a challenge” my friend Claire she nudging me and I she shook my head laughing

“oh man…oh you totally hooked up” Brooke said

“what?” I asked surprised

“when did you guys hook up?” she asked me surprised too

“oh don’t lie” Claire said

“last night…it wasn’t anything intense…we just kissed” I explained

“oh man…” Claire said “…you are such a bitch” she added and Brooke laughed

“hey she kissed me back” I told them

“oh this is prime!” Brooke said laughing

“seriously don’t tell anyone though…” I told them being serious

“psh our lips are sealed…” they both said nearly at the same time and they shook their heads at me
