Ashley's POV
I just left Spencer's house after our hot but short make-out session. I'm now pulling into my drive-way to my house, I turn the engine off and walk up to the door and go in heading for the stairs but before I can head up to my room my mom calls for me from the kitchen. I stop and turn towards the kitchen and see her finishing cleaning up.
"Yeah mom?" I ask her leaning against the door way frame.
"So where were you exactly honey?" She asks me coming over to me taking off my jacket. She likes to baby me a lot and makes sure everything is good for me.
"Oh, I went over to a friends house to have dinner with her and her parents," I tell her sitting on the counter grabbing a cookie out of a jar eating it.
"A girl? You already have a girlfriend on your first day of school?" She asks crossing her arms and raising her left eyebrow at the same time. She can get a bit protective over me when she knows there's girl in my life she still sees me as her little baby and doesn't want to lose me to some girl but I'll always be her baby she's my mom.
"Yeah, but no she's not my girlfriend well not yet at least. She's pretty and she's cool. I just wanted to hang with her a bit more," I tell her and my dad walks in right after.
"Hey Ashley how was school today?" My dad asks me while patting me on the back.
"It was good. I also even went to the school's football tryouts after school," I answer him,
"Oh yeah? That's great how did they like you out on the field?" My dad asks me standing next to my mom across from me.
"It went great except for one time I uh, kinda got distracted from the cheerleaders" I tell them putting my head down not wanting to see my mom's face my dad gets it but my mom no.
"Oh I see, well don't worry about that you'll just have to stop that once your out playing games and stay concentrated," He tells me while looking at me.
"Ashley I want you to focus on school and football you don't need a girlfriend now," That's my mom now not so happy about the cheerleaders.
"Now, now Christine, Ashley is old enough to have a girlfriend if she wants to," My dad says while rubbing my mom's back trying to calm her down.
"Yeah well I'm not ready to become a grandma so Ashley needs to keep her distance with girls," She says looking at him and me.
"Mom that's not gonna happen no way am I getting a girl pregnant anytime soon," I reassure her and shaking my head no.
"Yeah Christine stop jumping on Ashley's back and calm down Ashley isn't going anywhere anytime soon okay?" He tells my mom while facing her.
"I know it's just your my first child Ashley, I'm just a bit protective sweetie," She says and now she's hugging me.
"Trust me mom I know your protective. No need to worry so much I'm gonna go to bed now I'm tired," I say while getting off the counter and walking up to my room.
I'm walking up the stairs to my room and start to change into some boxers and a white tank I'll just take a shower in the morning I'm too tired, to do that now. I can't wait to see Spencer tomorrow I think I know who I want now.
