her eyes can be when she says
When she says she loves me

When you got your reasons
And you’ve got your lies
And you’ve got your manipulations
They cut me down to size

Say you love but you don’t
Give you love but you don’t

If you could only see the way she loves me
Maybe you would understand
Why I feel this way about our love
And what I must do
If you could only see..how blue..her eyes can be when she says
When she says she loves me

See the road less traveled
Shows happiness you’ll never
And you’ve got to take a little dirt to keep what you love

It’s what you gotta do

Say you love but you don’t
Give you love but you won’t
Stretching out your arms to something
Just out there
Say you love where you stand
Give your heart when you can

If you could only see the way she loves me
Then maybe you would understand
Why I feel this way about our love
And what I must do
If you could only see..how blue..her eyes can be when she says
When she says…she loves me

Say you love but you don’t
Give you love but you won’t
She went
Say you love where you stand
Give your heart when you can

If you could only see the way she loves me
Then maybe you would understand
Why I feel this way about our love
And what I must do
If you could only see..how blue..her eyes can be when she says

When she says…she loves me

The band pauses then Phil gets this evil look on his face and looks over at Ashley smirking, thinking he is going to trip her up because she is not prepared for it. Ashley just looks back at him and smirks, then looks over at the drummer and smiles knowingly.

Memories arent just where you lead them
Drag the water til the depths give up their dead
(Ashley looks over at Phil, who is almost pouting as she continues to sing the song flawlessly, not missing a beat.)
What did you expect to find
Was it something you left behind
Don’t you remember
Anything I said when I said

Don’t fall away
Leave me to myself
Don’t fall away
And leave love bleeding in my hands
In my hands again
Leave love bleeding in my hands
In my hands..love lies bleeding

I’m holding now
I feel contagious
Am I the only place
That you left to go
She cries and life is like
Some movie black and white

And I just thinking lies
Over and over and over again she cries

Don’t fall away
Leave me to myself
Don’t fall away
leave love bleeding in my hands
In my hands again
Leave love bleeding in my hands
In my hands..love lies bleeding

And I wanted
You to turn away
You don’t remember but I do
You never..even tried

Don’t fall away
Leave me to myself
Don’t fall away
Leave love bleeding in my hands
In my hands again
Leave love bleeding in my hands
In my hands again
Leave love bleeding in my hands
In my hands again
Ohhhhhhhh..oh

Ohhhhhhh..ohhh
Ohhhh.ohhh

She laughs as she looks over at Phil, who has this look of “what the hell did I do” on his face. “Hey, Jeremy is it cool if I borrow your acoustic for the next song?”, Ashley asked. I watched as a man walked onto stage carrying a mahogany acoustic, it was the skinny man with black hair from the first night that I came to Grey’s, which I now know is Jeremy, the owner of the place. He smiled widely as he handed over the guitar to Ashley. “You guys don’t mind if I play for a while do you?“, Ashley asked beginning to adjust the strings a bit, the crowd screamed excitedly. There is that breath-taking smile again. Phil looked like someone kicked him again. The drummer‘s face seemed to light up when Ashley leaned over to whisper something to the band again, I guess he approves. She winked as she smiled over at me again, starting to strum.

Alone
Listless
Breakfast table in an otherwise empty room
A young girl
Violins
Center of her own attention

Mother reads aloud…
Child tries to understand it
Tries to make her proud
The shades
Go down
Its in…her hand
Painted room
Canting eyes
Something’s thrown

Don’t call me
Daughter
Not fair to
The picture it
Will remind me

Don’t call me
Daughter
Not fair to me
The picture it
Will remind me

She holds the hand
It holds it down
She will..watch it fell

Ohhhhh
Ah

Don’t call me
Daughter
Not fair to
The picture it
Will remind me

Don’t call me
Daughter
Not fair to me
The picture it
Will remind me

Don’t call me…
Daughter
Not fair to
The picture it
Will remind me

Don’t call me
Daughter
Not fair to me
The picture it
Will remind me

Don’t call me

The shades go down
The shades go down
The shades go…
Go
Go

After the song Jeremy walks back on stage, taking the mic. He smiled, “That was awesome guys! Ashley, badass as always! You know you are the only one I trust to play my baby.”, he laughs as Ashley throws him a smile patting the acoustic. The band walked off the stage and headed to the bar. “But, while you are up here I think it would be a shame if you didn’t do one another song for us, Ash.”, Ashley looked over at him when he said these words, quirking an eyebrow. “Hey, don’t give me that look, Davies. You would be doing this crowd a injustice if you didn’t do this song for them, I know you know the one I’m talking about.” Ashley smiled again shaking her head, taking the guitar off, she walked over and leaned in to the mic, “Only if you play with me.” Jeremy laughed as Ashley handed him. I watched as both Ashley and Jeremy took a seat on the edge of the stage. Jeremy adjusted the strings a bit, adjusting it. Ashley smiled, motioning with her finger for me to come over, I looked at Kyla and she smiled knowingly. Again, why does Kyla always know these things. I look back at Ashley and she motions for me again, then points to the stop right in front of her.
