It was the night of the dance and I picked Spencer up early so we could get ready together. I figure if she’s making me go through all of this then I should at least get to see her change into that dress.

Spencer was sitting on my bed doing her make up. I placed my chin on her shoulder and kissed her cheek.

Ashley: “You look absolutely stunning tonight Miss. Carlin.”
Spencer: “Why thank you Miss. Davies. Not so bad yourself.”
Ashley: “ Yes, I am aware.”

We laughed and I sat on the floor. She turned around, dangling her feet off the bed, so I grabbed them and put her heels on for her.

Ashley: “Are you ready to go Madame?”
Spencer: “I’m ready when you are. ”

That’s when she leaned in and whispered in my ear and said “Sexy.”
Ugh this dance was going to take forever to just be over with.
I grabbed her hand and I lead her out to my car. I opened her door for her and I walked around to take my seat. As I was driving I took her hand  with my free one and laced our fingers.

Ashley: “Are you sure you want to go? I hear these things suck.”
Spencer “*laughs* I am sure we are going. It wont be bad. I’ll be there with you to make it fun.”
Ashley: “You do have a point, but you so owe me. And I mean BIG time.”
Spencer: “You name it and I’ll do it. It means a lot to me that you are going for me.”
Ashley: “I am soooo going to hold you to that… Maybe even tonight.”

Her face turned red and I let go of her hand so I could park the car. We walked into the gym and started the nightmare.

I saw Glen out on the dance floor and I hoped he wouldn’t notice me. Clay spotted us and walked over with Chelsea. That’s the one brother I didn’t mind talking to.

Clay: “Hey guys.”
Spencer and Ashley: “Hi.”
Clay: “Just a warning to Ashley. Glen is on the look out for you *laughs* It is his mission for the night to get a quote on quote “sexy dance“ from her”
Ashley: “Oh, Please. Not even in his WILDEST wet dreams.”
Spencer: “EEEEW LALALALA I didn’t hear that.”

Everyone laughs.
I spent the rest of the night trying my best to enjoy my time with Spencer and to avoid Glen at the same time. I wanted to have a nice night with a Carlin, but it wasn’t him. He would freak if he ever found out his baby sister won me over and he couldn’t. . . I just hope we are together long enough for Spencer’s family to find out about me one day. When she is ready.

A slow song came on and Spencer lead me out to the dance floor. It’s a good thing girls always dance together because no one was going to think much about us. I was really enjoying our first dance together.
