It felt like it took forever for her to call me back. I couldn’t find anything to do to occupy my mind. I just kept staring at the clock wishing she would call now. I know I told her to take her time, but I didn’t mean it!

My phone finally started ringing and I saw Spencer’s name pop up on my caller ID. I flipped my phone open and answered it.

Ashley: “Hey, Spencer.”
Spencer: “Hey. What are you doing.”
Ashley: “Nothing at all. Talking to you now.”

Spencer giggled a little. Good. She seemed to be in a good mood.

Spencer: “I thought a lot about everything that happened today. “
Ashley: “Did your thoughts end up in my favor.”
Spencer: “That depends on what you call “your favor”. ”
Ashley: “I would consider you being mine to be in my favor.”
Spencer: “I want to be.”
Ashley: “Are you ok with this. So soon and everything.”
Spencer: “I’m not ready for anyone else to know.”
Ashley: “No one else has to. As long as you’re with me I’ll keep you safe.”
Spencer: “This is all so new to me, so forgive me for not being perfect at it.”
Ashley: “You already are.”
Spencer: “Thanks. I just. I know I was raised to be Catholic and straight, but I think if you have feelings for someone that you should go for it.”
Ashley: “That’s how it should be.”
Spencer: “I just wanted to call and let you know all of this, but it is getting late so I need to go to bed”
Ashley: “Ok. Would you like for me to pick you up in the morning?”
Spencer: “Uh, yeah. That would be great.”
Ashley: “Ok. See you bright and early. Good night Spencer.”
Spencer: “Night.”
Ashley: “Oh, wait.”
Spencer: “Yeah?”
Ashley: “You are so cute when you’re sleeping.”
Spencer: “You are very sweet. Thank you.”

We got off the phone and I couldn’t sleep much that night. I couldn’t stop thinking about how shocked I was that I was now dating Spencer.  Just the other day I was scaring her off and now we are secret lovers. After a few hours I was able to fall asleep.
