That’s about the time my teacher slammed a book on my desk to awaken me. I was startled at first, but then angry that such a perfect dream was ruined. I grumbled and didn’t attempt to sleep for the rest of class. I just kept replaying the dream over and over in my head.
School finally let out and I was sitting in my car searching for a song on my ipod when I heard a tap at my window. I looked up and I was surprised to see those beautiful blue eyes looking down at me. I rolled down my window.
Ashley: “To what do I owe this pleasure?” Spencer: “Just thought I would see if you were busy today. Glen has basketball practice and I didn’t feel like waiting here for hours since cheerleading practice was called off for the day.” Ashley: “Hop in.”
Spencer did as I said and she put her seatbelt on with a rather eager look upon her gentle face.
Ashley: “Where to? You want me to take you home?” Spencer: “You can, but if you’re free we can hang out.” Ashley: “You’re in luck. It just so happens that I am free for the rest of the evening.” Spencer: “Well, then maybe we could go dress shopping for the dance.” Ashley: “Please! I’m not even close to going.” Spencer: “Come one. What do you have to lose? If you don’t like if you could always leave. And I would go with you. I‘m not too excited about going to a dance with a lot of people I don‘t even know.”
Hmmm why is she so set on making me go to the stupid dance? Maybe she just doesn’t want to be alone and I happen to be one of her few friends here. But she has Madison and all of her cheerbitch friends. That should be enough. Or maybe she really wants me there. I over analyze everything. I glanced over in her direction and saw her making a pouty face. Ok that’s it. I can not say no to that face. It's making my heart melt.
Ashley: “Fine fine. We can go dress shopping for the stupid dance.” Spencer: “OOOOH YAAAAY! Thank you so much Ashley.”
I could sense she wanted to hug me, but for some reason she stopped herself. I’ll break her of this homophobic stuff if it's the last thing I do. I shook my head bringing me back to reality, because that sent my thought process down a very dirty path. I pulled the car in front of a dress store and we went inside. I wasn’t thrilled about the dance, but I did enjoy shopping. Also, seeing Spencer try on dresses was a major plus. What is with me and my straight girl crushes? I cant help it.
We walked around to the back of the store and I found a gorgeous white dress that would look amazing on Spencer. It would look fabulous against her tanned, flawless skin. I held it out to her and she agreed to try it on. It wasn’t too short and yet it wasn’t too long either.
