Ashley’s POV:
I was running late to class, as usual. For some reason I was trying to get my books out of my locker. Not that I planned on using them. They could burst into flames for all I
cared. Some girl was behind me being a pest and asking questions, but I barely paid any attention. I didn’t care about anyone in this place. I was balancing my coffee on a stack
of books when some blonde I didn’t recognize bumped me and made me spill coffee all over my arms.
Ashley: “ OWWW, DAMN!” Blonde girl: “God, I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to.” Ashley: “Who cares what you meant. You always have to create a disaster everywhere you go?” Blonde girl: “What is your problem? I’m just trying to find my way around here.” Ashley: “You and everyone else in this place.”
It wasn’t until then that I realized who I had been yelling at. She was probably the most beautiful, yet innocent looking girl I had ever laid eyes on. Her gorgeous blue eyes
looked back at me in shock. As if to say ‘how could someone be so mean?‘ I snapped back to reality & was completely embarrassed for the way I had treated her. I walked away as
quickly as I could to hide my shame.
For the rest of the day I of course didn’t pay attention in my classes. My mind kept wandering to that girl and her horrified expression, thanks to me. I don’t know why it
bothered me so much. It’s not like I was a sweet little princess to everyone else, but for some reason I wanted to comfort her when I saw how sad I made her look. I tried to
forget about her and make it through Hell… I mean school.
The final bell rang and I nearly jumped out of my seat. I was ready to get out of here. I was fighting through a crowd of students on my way to my car when I saw the beautiful
blonde entering the gym. God, I hope she isn’t a cheerbitch. I have a history of not getting along with those.
I slowly followed her inside and watched her sitting on the bleachers. She didn’t look like she had anything else better to do, so I figured I could clear my conscience and make
amends. I stepped up onto the bleachers and sat beside her.
Ashley: “So, are you a basketball fan or do you just like watching guys pat each other on the ass?” Blonde girl: “Question. Are you on meds?” Ashley: “Actually no. My mom fired my last therapist after he hit on her and the new one believes in a holistic approach to my mental health.” Blonde girl: “So you are crazy?” Ashley: “They think I am. It gives them a reason to justify my behavior, but no I’m not. Are you?” Blonde girl: “No.” Ashley: “Then what are you doing in here?”
She pointed to a blonde boy on the court playing basketball. Please don’t be a boyfriend. Wait! Why do I care?
Blonde girl: “Brother”
Thank god. Now that you mention it they do sort of look alike, but she is of course way hotter.
