nothing else." Ashley said as she stood. Tom smiled at her and thanked her again for the information. As Ashley walked away, she took one more look back at the deputy to see him flipping through the folders on his desk.

Ashley rolled her eyes at herself, feeling stupid for the information she gave him like it would have helped. That for even a second, she considered telling Alteire about the picture. It's not like the Sheriff's station believed her about the pumpkin and stuff that was left in her house. And since she ripped up the picture, there really wasn't any evidence. She took up the deputy's valuable time for some stupid theory that was probably just bullshit.

As Ashley made her way out of the station, her thoughts turned back to Spencer. She wondered if the blonde was awake yet, if she had thought about her at all. Ashley was so lost in her own musings, she didn't even glance up at the street as she began to cross it.

It wasn't until she felt the firm hand wrap around her arm and yank her back did she even hear the blaring sounds of the car's horn and realize she had almost been road kill.

"Oh my, God, Ashley!" The brunette found herself buried into the chest of whoever just saved her life. She was basically in a headlock as the tall body held her tightly. "What were you thinking?!" Was screamed as the life was being squeezed out from under her.

Ashley recognized that voice and suddenly her day just got a lot worse.

"You didn't even bother looking! You could have been killed!" Aunt Marie pulled back from the shocked brunette and gulped at the anger she saw in those crystal clear blue eyes. "For God's sake, Ashley! You MUST pay attention!" Ashley's jaw dropped as she watched Marie huff before she pulled Ashley back into a body-crushing hug.

"Don't even know what I would have done...can't even IMAGINE what I would have told your mother!" Marie pulled away, looking stern as she wagged her finger in Ashley's stunned face. "So help me, God, Ashley Paula Davies, if you don't start taking care of yourself I will kill you, you hear me?!" Marie scolded. Ashley numbly nodded as she watched Marie turn on her heel, still muttering to herself under her breath. Dressed in scrubs, Ashley assumed Marie was on her way to the hospital for her next shift and she was suddenly thankful that the blonde saved her life on the street and not in a hospital. The brunette couldn't even fathom having to sit in a hospital bed listening to Marie scold her day in day out.

Ashley, still in shock, jumped a foot in the air when a passing car honked its horn at her. "Jesus!" The brunette exclaimed, a hand over her racing heart. She almost got hit again! "I need sleep." Ashley muttered, looking left and right several times before she crossed the street and ran towards her car.

Spencer hadn't left her bed all day. And she didn't plan on leaving either. But when the persisting knocking wouldn't let up, the blonde grudgingly sprang from her bed and mumbled an "I'm coming, I'm coming!" as she made the trip to her front door.

At the sight of messy brown curls, Spencer's heart started to race. She didn't think she'd be seeing Ashley so soon, and despite her reservations about last night, she couldn't help being excited to see her.

When the blonde opened the door, however, her smile collapsed into a frown at the sight of Kyla Woods. "Hey, Spence!" Kyla greeted, and didn't ask for an invite as she pushed passed the cranky blonde to let herself into the dark house.
