He and the coroner, Victoria Marks had studied the Halloween list of King High students and went over the theory and evidence ad nauseam. Slightly deterred by the joking tone the deputy's tone held, Ashley continued.
"Yeah, well...you see...Spencer and I," Again Ashley swallowed hard at the blonde's name. "Well, you know how we said that the Killer was following a pattern, the alphabetical thing?" Tom nodded as he gave the brunette polite attention. "Well one of Spencer's friends is sort of missing, right? Sherry Pena? And um...another student, Jonica Pace, seems to also be missing. And those two and two other guys at our school, Cholo Paul and David Perry were also absent. All four kids...well...they weren't the best behaved." Ashley finished lamely, wishing she didn't sound so much like a kid herself.

"Yeah...but um...Patrick Anderson also bought a ticket, but see, me and Spence think because he was gay, the Killer didn't like the idea of him going. And Sherry didn't have a date, so maybe that's why she was a target." Tom stroked his chin while he listened, still studying the list in his hand.
"Well...just to be safe I should probably check on Jonica Pace and Sherry Pena if you say they're missing...and the other two..." Ashley took the little leeway she had been given and ran with it.
"Yeah, according to Spencer it's really weird that Sherry didn't go to Erin Klienschmidt's party last night and wasn't answering her phone." Tom nodded at the news before he quickly put the list back into his desk and looked back up at the brunette.
"Thanks for the heads up, Ashley. Is there anything else I can help you with?" He was descent, Ashley thought, for a cop. She hesitated for a second, weighing her options. Spencer was definitely frightened by the picture of her father that was left in her locker, and it probably wouldn't hurt to mention to the deputy that she was being harassed...
"No...
