“You must be Ashley! It’s so nice to finally meet you, I’ve heard so much about you! Welcome!”
“Hi Mrs. Carlin, nice to meet you too.” I smiled.
“Ohh, just call me Paula!”
“Haha alright, Paula.”
Paula smiles and goes into the kitchen. I turn to face Spencer and say,
“I thought you said she was a bitch?”
“She is, but I talked to her and told her to be nice to you.”
“Why would you do that?”
“Because you’re important to me.”
‘Woah! What did she say?!’
“You’re important to me too Spence.” I said, smiling
She smiled, “Come on, you have to meet my Dad!”
She grabbed my hand and led me to the Kitchen where a man with curly brown hair is behind the stove, making what looks like hamburgers.
“Dad, I’d like you to meet Ashley.” Spencer said.
The man turns around and smiles at me. Woah, he has the same smile as Spencer. Now I see where she gets it from!
“Hello Ashley, I’m Arthur.”
“Hi Mr. Carlin, it’s nice to meet you, I’ve heard a lot about you.”
“Is that so?” He smiled, “Oh and Ashley, don’t call me Mr. Carlin, that’s my father.”
“Okay, what about Mr. C?”
“Sounds good. Why don’t you lady take a seat and dinner will be served.”
Paula, Spencer, and I walk into the dinning room. I took a seat next to Spencer. She told me Glen was out with Madison. Her farther then came in and we passed the food around. They asked me the basic questions: Age, home life, grades, my life basically. It wasn’t as bad as I thought. Her parents were really nice, and her Dad is just like her. Her Mom seems nice, but from what I’ve heard, I don’t think we’ll be the best of friends. After dinner her parents went to their room and Spencer and I were sitting on the couch.
“So, do you think they like me?” I asked her.
“Are you kidding? Defiantly!”
“Thank god!” I said, relieved. She smiled.
“How are your sister and Aiden?
