She kissed me. Spencer kissed me. But on the cheek! That’s still something. I ran into Kyla’s room and told her. “Ash, can you stop jumping on my bed please?”
“Yeah, yeah in a minute! But she kissed me! K-I-S-S!”
“I know, you told me like a thousand times” Kyla laughed shaking her head.
“I should make it my Facebook status or something!” I was still jumping.
Kyla gave me a cynical look to my Facebook comment, “I’ve never seen you like this Ash. I think you’re in love!”
“Psh, me? Yeah right!” I stopped jumping. I think she’s right.
“Uh-huh. Face it ash, you’ve fallen under Spencer’s spell.” I already knew that. I was completely, head over heels, constantly thinking about her, in love with Spencer Carlin.
Silence filled the room until I told her the truth, “I am in love with her. I love the way she makes me feel. I love the way that her eyes and smile easily melt the depths of my soul. I love the way she tilts her head when she’s confused. I love the way she gets excited for black and white shakes. And if she feels the same, I wouldn’t want anything in return. No gifts, no cute gestures, but maybe a lap dance. Just her heart, in exchange for mine.” Kyla looked at me wide-eyed, shocked that I just claimed my love for Spencer. I know it’s only been a month and a half since I met her, but I fell hard. And fast.
“Oh my god. That was so sweet! Aw, my Ashley’s growing up.” She gave me a really big hug causing me not to breathe.
“Kyla you need to let go.” I said trying to sound like I need air.
“Oh right sorry.” She let go. “You need to tell her what’s up. Tomorrow.”
“Maybe I will.” I said walking out of her peach colored room into mine. Tonight was probably one of the best nights I’ve had in a while.
