Today was…amazing I thought to myself as I walked back from Spencer’s house.

“So,” I heard Kyla when I walked in; she was on the couch watching TV, “I saw the way you looked at Spencer earlier.”

“What?” I said trying to sound like I didn’t know what she was talking about.

“Yeah. Right. You like Spencer! Or at least have a crush on her!” Kyla pointed out.

“And your point is?” I told her.

“Man, I knew it! I’m guessing it’s only a crush because you didn’t make any moves on her unlike the others.” Kyla said pointing at me. Not gonna lie, I have this…reputation if you will, with girls. Usually I just have one-nighters with them and I never came close to dating. But there was something different about Spencer. I liked how she genuinely listened to me and talked to me. And she has the most beautiful eyes!

“She’s…different.” I told Kyla.

“Because she didn’t have sex with you right away?” Kyla joked.

“No, I swear…It’s different with her.” I said sincerely. Kyla gave me an ‘Are you serious?’ look.

“You better be careful with her, she’s our neighbor ya’ know?” Kyla threatened

I just nodded, told her goodnight, and headed to my room.

It was then I saw Spencer through my window standing in front of hers. I waved and she waved back. Spencer went closer to her window and opened it: “Thanks again for today. I really had a good time.”

“Yeah I know you did.” I said being all cocky. She just rolled her eyes.

“Goodnight.” Spencer said as she closed her window and pulled the drapes.
