My name is Ashley Davis and I am 20 years old and I went to king high school and graduates in 2007 and I just have to say I am head over heals in love with my best friend Spencer Carlin. Even though she is only 18 and she is graduating from school this year, I met this girl when she was in the 8^th grade and when I was in the 10^th grade and when we met it was like we just we were best friends since that day when she was visiting the High School. And to be honest I fell in love with her the moment I saw her and I still have not told her well she is gay to but I am so afraid she won’t like me back and then again if she does I know her dad and he does not like me at all because I am gay and I think that would actually be one reason why she would reject a girl or something but I am the typ of girl who over panics just a little bit when it comes to thinking about spencer not wanting me for some reason please don’t ask me why.

Ok so here I was sitting in my room listening to my ipod when I decided to run downstairs to grab a soda when I looked in the living room I saw spencer hanging out with my younger sister Kyla so I decided to walk up to her and I gave her a hug,

Ashley, hey spencer

Spencer, hey Ash

-god I hate when people call me that but when spencer does I just I love it-

Ashley, how are you?

Spencer, um great you? Spencer Smiled at Ashley

Ashley, yea I am great to

Spencer, Ash can I um talk to you about something?

Ashley, yea spencer what’s up?

Spencer, Ash I like yo-

-kyla walks in the door to the living room and starts talking about something-

Ashley, perhaps we go into my bedroom and talk?

Spencer, um yea. Ill be back kyla

-spencer and I walked up the stairs and we walked into my bedroom and spencer sat down on my bed and I closed the door behind us and when I looked over spencer was all fidgety so I knew that something was up so I locked my door because my house is full and I know that somehow we would be talking and someone would just barge in. After I locked the door I walked over and I sat next to spencer and I looked at her-

Ashley, what did you wanna talk about spencer?

Spencer, ash I know you like me

Ashley, oh -I looked down at the floor-

Spencer, but I like you to Ash

Ashley, you do? - I smiled at her -

Spencer, yes ash I do A lot

Ashley, how come you have never told me?

Spencer, I don’t know I guess I have been scared or something I guess

- I looked over at her and she had a tear flowing down her cheek and I took my hand and wiped it away with the pad of my thumb-

Ashley, scared of what Spence?

Spencer, scared that if I did tell you and my dad found out that he would kill me or do something to me again

Ashley, spencer what do you mean by that?

-kyla yells- she mean he will hit her again-

- as soon as I heard Kyla’s voice I got up off the bed and unlocked my door and opened it and there was my nosey sister sitting on the floor with her ear up against the door listening to our conversation-

Ashley, did you ever think the conversation we are having could be private?

Kyla. Um no?

Ashley, god I hate you sometimes kyla

- I looked over at spencer. ~Hey spencer come on lets go for a walk~ when me and spencer left my house we walked out behind my house and up the dirt road we would always walk up when we went to school together. The first couple of minutes of the walk were quiet and then I decided to say something-

Ashley, spencer?

Spencer, ya ash?

Ashley, has your dad really hit you?

Spencer, yea once when I told him I was gay

Ashley, I am sorry spencer

Spencer, it’s not your fault

Ashley, we are best friends why did you not tell me about it?

Spencer, I did not want you to worry?

Ashley, right. Answering that more as a question then a response there Spence?

Spencer, yea sorry

Ashley, spencer would you ever wanna be with me?

Spencer, yea I do ash i have wanted to be with you for a while but-

-I stopped and so did she and we both looked at one another-

Ashley, but what spencer?

Spencer, I don’t want you to get hurt somehow Ash

Ashley, spencer nothing or nobody could ever hurt me

Spencer, liar

Ashley, ok maybe I am but spencer if I had you it would make me the happiest girl in the world spencer

- spencer smiled at me and then the both of us started to walk again and this time we kept quiet once again and then I got brave and I grabbed Spencer’s hand and I held it and she did not pull her hand away and she just looked at me and smiled and we held hands all the way to the field that the dirt road leads out to and we walked across it to the little pond and we sat by the tree together and she leaned up against me and I wrapped my arms around her and held her and then I kissed her cheek and rested my head on hers-

Spencer, I am sorry I never told you I like you ash

Ashley, spencer it is ok but I know now that you like me

spencer, yea you do

Ashley, why were you hanging out with my sister? You never do

Spencer, oh well we got stuck in a science project together

Ashley, haha

Spencer, ok next time she can come to my house so you can’t see me

Ashley, no don’t do that to me

Spencer, ok but I wan-

Ashley, spencer can you be my girlfriend since we both want to be with each other?

Spencer, yea ash I can

Ashley, oh how you gonna tell your mom

Spencer, just gonna tell her I don’t care if she does not like we have a couple years age difference

- I smiled at spencer and then we sat at the tree a few more hours talking and fooling around and by the time we knew it was dark out so the both of us got up and we walked back down the dirt road back to my house and we walked onto the back porch and we sat down on the bench and I wrapped my arm around her waist and she layed her head on my shoulder -

Ashley, u gotta go home you have school tomorrow spence

Spencer, I know I do

Ashley, I don’t want you to go though

Spencer, aw ash you will see me again

Ashley, yea I know

- spencer and I both got up and walked to the door and she looked at me and I leaned in and I slowly kissed her on the lips and the I pulled away and leaned my forehead on her for a few second and then I pulled away and I looked at her and brushed her bangs out of her face -

Ashley, can I see you tomorrow?

Spencer, ya ill call you

Ashley. - smiles - by baby

Spencer, bye

- I watched spencer get into her care and leave and then when I walked in the door and into the kitchen I saw my mom, dad and sister sitting at the table and kyla looked mad at me -

Christine, Ashley were you been?

Ashley, um me and spencer went out together

Kyla, you kept her out and she did not come back and hang with me

Ashley, sorry?

Kyla, sure you are

Christine, so how is spencer ash?

Ashley, she is good

Christine, so what were you guys doing?

Ashley, just hanging out mom

Christine, ok

Ashley, I am going up to my room

- when I walked in the door I went into the kitchen and got a drink and the things to make a sandwich and I sat down at the counter and started to make my sandwich -

Paula, why so smiley?

Spencer, no reason mom

Paula, hey your graduating in a month your almost gonna be on your own

Spencer, ya I know - I smiled -

Paula, well we can talk when you get home tomorrow I am going to bed

Spencer, night

Paula, night spencer

- I ate my sandwich and then I went upstairs and got into a pair of boxer shorts and an Olympia sports shirt and I went and laid down on my bed and took my cell out and I texted Ashley -

- I put my cell down and laid on my bed and I thought about Ashley and soon fell asleep -

Ashley, what?

Kyla, why did you and spencer go for so long

Ashley, because

Kyla, were waiting

Ashley, because we are dating now

- everybody just looked at Ashley -
