E. class usually takes place, and I have a clear shot of the beautiful observatory building.

I feel the cool night air breeze over me and I shut my eyes and enjoy the sensation; I feel like I'm flying. But then I teeter a little and my eyes snap open in fear and I go back to work.

I'm picking up crumbled paper after crumbled paper and dumping them into the trash bag in my hand while Janitor Amie sweeps up cigarette butts. But something catches my eye on one of the balled up papers and I take it in my hands and smooth it open to read it.

There, in Ashley's handwriting, is a poem. Before I read it I reach back into my trash bag for the other papers and quickly realize that, in fact, all of the trash is from Ashley. Some are songs, others are poems, and even letters; all to me.

Most of the ink on the pages is tear-stained and I swallow down tears of my own. This is what she has been doing; sitting up here and writing...to and about me.

Spencer: "Janitor Amie, can I have another trash bag?" She silently hands me another one as she eyes the half empty trash bag already in my hand. Without explanation, I start to place every piece of paper and scrap that has Ashley's writing on it in the second bag; I want to keep each one.

Janitor Amie: "Talk to Davies yet?" She mumbles as she continues sweeping. It's her smirk that gets my thoughts racing. I take another look around the top of the roof and it hits me that it looks as though it hasn't been cleaned...well...ever.

Spencer: "You don't usually clean the roof, do you Janitor Amie?" I ask with a hint of suspicion in my voice.

Janitor Amie: "Just thought you and I should straighten it up. Just had a feeling, is all." She doesn't say anything else to me for the rest of the night, but she also doesn't say anything to me about reading the papers I find before putting them in my 'Ashley bag.' Of course she knows that Ashley comes up here, she knows everything about this school. "Okay, I have to go check on some things. Finish up here and I'll see ya tomorrow bright and early." She quickly says before she takes off.

Well that was weird. I shrug and continue my cleaning and pay no mind to the sound of the roof door opening and closing. It's around twelve...which means I'll only be getting a few hours sleep before working again and classes. This making my own money and going to all my classes is starting to get a little overrated!

Ashley: "What are you doing up here?" I whip around to see Ashley standing by the door, guitar strapped to her back, and looking surprised. She takes in my trash bags and the cleaning supplies Janitor Amie left me before she looks at me.

Spencer: "I...I'm cleaning." I explain, shocked as well, as I hold up my trash bag a little. She looks around the now almost clean roof, and swallows hard before she looks back at me.

Ashley: "But you hate heights." She mumbles, more to herself, and then her eyes go slightly wide. "Did you..
