Monday again, god I hate Mondays the rest of the week seems to drag on forever.  It felt like I wasn’t able to get any rest at all during the weekend. Between soccer and the party I maybe got five hours of sleep total.  Then to top it all off I had to basically babysit Aiden after Ashley and I were able to find him staggering around the front yard moments way from passing out. I wasn’t able to speak to Ashley again about our moment on the balcony. She seemed to disappear after helping me lift Aiden’s heavy ass body all the way up the stairs then into his bed. I was right by the way; his room was cover in basketball stuff from wall to wall.

I stayed by Aiden’s side for most of the night until I was sure he was done throwing up then I called Glen to come pick me up in the morning. Aiden texted me a few hours later saying he was sorry about passing out on me and that was the last I had heard from any of the Davies.

“Hey girl that was some party” Madison had appeared next to me opening up her locker grabbing her books for first period.

“Ya I guess” I replied looking over at her

“What you didn’t enjoy yourself?”

“I did I really did, it just that I was looking forward to getting some kinda rest and not looking after my boyfriend” I responded looking around the hallway “I wonder where he is anyways. He is normally here by now. “

I noticed Madison looking far off over my shoulder “Here he comes now Spence”

I turned around to see Aiden coming toward me he looked tired as well dragging his feet.

“Hey babe” he let out quietly

“What’s with shades Aid” I looked him over head to toe; it looked like he just woke up and came to school without even changing his clothes.

“I’m so tired, the shade are so I can sleep during some of my classes” he chuckled lightly

“You were sleeping like a baby when I left you Sunday morning”

“Ya well my parents showed up a lot sooner than I was expecting and of course they flip, after see the state of the house.”

“I bet they were so pissed” Madison laughed from behind me

“I’m pretty sure pissed is an understatement” Aiden sighed

“Well where is Ashley?” I asked looking around him seeing no one.”

“ah... Ash is sick she probably has the flu or something, but I stayed up looking after her most of the night so don’t worry I’m sure she will be fine in a few days.”

“That’s weird she seemed perfectly find when I last saw her on Saturday” I said trying to look beyond Aiden’s shade to see his eyes.

“Ya... I guess she must have a weak immune system or something, but like I said she normally bounces back after a few days.” Aiden replied while rubbing the back of his neck.

“Well can I catch a ride with you after school and swing by your house so I can see her?” I ask

“No that’s not really necessary beside she wouldn’t want you to get sick and all.” Aiden state while adjusting the strap of his gym bag. “I gotta get going but I will see you both at lunch” He quickly pecks my lips and bolts around the corner.

“Did it seem like he was acting funny to you” I ask Madison

“Ya but maybe he was just tired like he said”

I really didn’t have time to think it over because I had to get to first period before I was late.  The day flew by pretty fast which was surprising, Aiden somehow managed to avoid me throughout the whole day and even skipped lunch something was definitely up with him. I texted him after school to see if he wanted to hangout later but he said he had to stay after school for some basketball team meeting. I even texted Ashley at least five times but never got a reply. The funny thing is that Glen happens to be on that very same team and he is not stay after. But anyways I guess this could be a good thing because I asked Glen to give me a ride home since Aiden was unavailable, and we just might be making a little pit stop to a sick brunette on the way home.

We pulled up in front of the Davies home and it appeared that no one was there. Glen told me to make it quick so I got out of the car and speed walked up to the front door. I was unsure of knocking on the door or not, because if Ashley was the only one home and if she really was sick I didn’t want to have to make her get up and come open the door. I heard a car horn beep behind me and I glance to see Glen giving a signal to hurry up. So I just went for it and knocked then I stood back from the door and waited. A few seconds later a middle aged looking woman opened the door and gave me a puzzled look.

“Hi” I said giving a nervous wave

“Can I help you?”

“Who are you?” I kind of just blurted out

“I’m just the maid is there something I can help you with miss?” she asked again

“Oh ya sorry I’m here to see Ashley”

“Oh ok Miss Davies is up in her room but she usually doesn’t have visitors, I’m not quite sure if I’m suppose to allow you in or not.” She looked warily at me then glanced back over her shoulder.

“I’m a friend of hers from school”

“Well I should probably clear this first with Mr…”

“I Swear it will be really quick I am not like a crazy killer or anything I promise, just want to see if she is feeling ok” I added quickly hoping it would get me entrance

“Ok but make It quick If anyone ask I didn’t let you ok?” she asked give me a glare

“I promise, I never met you” I replied chuckling lightly.

She stepped aside and turned around heading off to the kitchen mumbling to herself.  I quickly turned heading up the stairs trying to be as quite as possible.
