This must be a lot more serious than I thought. She's not even talking to me about it.
Kelly: "What's up with you?" She asks as I collapse in my chair in the cafe. Ashley was nowhere to be found after I left the bathroom, she didn't walk me to my first class of the day, she didn't answer any of my texts (her cell is off), and she is conveniently absent from the table right now for lunch.
Spencer: "Have any of you talked to Ash?" I ask my friends. All four heads tell me they haven't and I let out a deep sigh. "She's upset with me and won't tell me why." I explain to them as I spear my pasta with my fork, frowning deeply.
Jessica: "Did you guys get into a fight?" She asks before taking a bite of her own lunch.
Spencer: "Not that I know of, but she's acting like we did. She won't talk to me and she turned down sex...twice." All four of my friend's eyebrows shoot up and I know that they are just as surprised as I am.
Sara: "Jesus." She hisses out.
Spencer: "I know! I'm going to eat fast and check to see if she's in the observatory." I tell them before I take a big bite of my pasta.
Kelly: "Why would she be in the observatory?" She asks with a raised eyebrow. Fuck...I forgot they don't know that Ashley plays the violin and goes there every chance she can get. That we go there every chance we can get.
Spencer: "Um, because she likes the architecture?" I tell them without much conviction.
Gage: "You two go there a lot." She says before she kisses the back of Jess' hand.
Spencer: "It's quiet." I mumble and stuff my face hoping to avoid further questioning.
Jessica: "Well you still have P.E."
Spencer: "Yeah but somehow I feel like she'll avoid me there too. This is ridiculous, why is she shutting me out?!" I groan loudly.
Gage: "Ash is weird, Spence. To tell you the truth, I'm surprised she's gone this long without a mood swing. Before you came along it was like every other day."
Sara: "Yeah, Spencer, this isn't so uncommon for Ashley." I nod because I know this, Ashley told me as much. After making love or whenever we'd get a quiet moment, Ashley would mention how much I changed her or how different she was with me. So what happened?
Spencer: "Maybe I'm just being paranoid." I sigh and pick at my food, no longer hungry. "I'm going to go look for her." I tell my friends and quickly stand and toss the remainder of my food.
