A few days later I was in school I didn’t know why but I couldn’t get her out of my mind. At lunch I was having a mindless conversation with my friend. Then I noticed a familiar face, out of the corner of my eye, and my head jerked in the direction of it. It was that girl from the park. I saw her with my old friend Aiden, and my brother Glen was practically drooling over her. I wasn’t any better. I couldn’t help but stare at her. She was so captivating. Then she looked in my direction and we locked eyes. It is to this day, the most intense connection I have ever felt. She excused herself and walked in my direction. "Hello."
"Hi."
"I'm Ashley Davies. And you are?"
"Spencer…" God with a few words she has taken away my ability to speak.
"Well did your parents stop at Spencer or do you have a last name?"
"Carlin. Spencer Carlin." God that sounded stupid.
"What are you James Bond now? I thought your name was Spencer?" She laughs.
"No. It is Spencer." I laugh, too.
"Cool. Do you mind if I sit down?"
"No."
And from then on we were almost inseparable. I loved to be around her. She just had this radiance about her. And her smile could send cities to ruin. That is until about 6 months ago when she started dating Aiden. Now I hardly even see her, and when I do she's never smiling. I miss her smile and the way when she walks into the room my whole day is better.
