Ashley buried her face in the hair that was resting on the other girls shoulder. Her words bouncing off the walls, floating away with the wind, hanging in the moment, at just above a whisper.
---- "I’m so sorry."
They didn’t let go of one another and when Mr. C and Mrs. C came around the corner to see what was taking their daughter so long, they didn’t even concern themselves with there audience, it was just Ashley and Spencer, no one else. Mr. C couldn’t help the smile on his face as he gave one last look before gently guiding his wife into the next room. While Ashley clung to Spencer, she was silently asking for her to stay, and as Spencer just held on tight, she was promising forever.
“ no one had ever felt so right holding me
No one had ever done such a great job comforting me
We created our own world
Were the population was two
An escape that was our own utopia
Intimate, defenseless, vulnerable
No pleading, no pushing, no desperation
Past the demons. Past the mistakes
I was surrendering my everything to you”
