100 community service hours, and here stood Ashley, with an orange vest and a grabber on the side of the road picking up the garbage of people who just decide to throw it out there window. She was lucky, it could have been worse. Along with the hours of community service, Ashley is now required to see a councilor 2 days a week and has to have a report made once a month till her hours are complete. This was a start for Ashley, maybe talking this out would help, maybe getting it off her chest, would really make her feel lighter. Today was her first session with her councilor. With images of her sitting on a coach and talking about her feelings, to a person who was just nodding, running through her head. Ashley took one step into the office and it felt homey, there was no cliché couch it was just a place were she could actually feel comfortable. She was asked to sit down, to get comfortable. His voice was soothing and loving, without a hint of judgment, and when she meet his eyes for the first time, she saw the person she loved the most.

== "If your uncomfortable talking to me, Ashley, I can find someone else… You’re my number one worry, when you walk through that door."

--- "No that’s ok Mr. C…..I actually am glad I get to talk with you….its….familiar"

==  "Well, I’m glad….So how have you been?"

--- "Um…good"

Mr. C watched as Ashley looked everywhere but him. From one poster on the wall the next, to staring out the window, to finding her hands very interesting. He was grateful of her, for saving his daughter, he could tell she cared for Spencer a lot, but he could also tell that Ashley was hurt and very much lost. He always looked for the good in people and to him Ashley was the girl who saved his daughter, the girl who cared for her mother, and the girl who had lost everything. He knew that Ashley knew that she was heading down the wrong path, but he also knew even if you go down the wrong path, you can always turn around and come back.

== "Have you talked to Spencer lately?"

He knew the answer, Spencer had called and had been worried for the last few days. His daughter had been freaked after the attack, but was more worried about Ashley. Spencer was ok and was coping well with almost being violated, if Ashley hadn’t have been there, he didn’t want to think about it, and neither did Spencer, and that thought only induced Spencer’s worry about her ‘friend’.

 --- "No…I just don’t know what to say…or do….anymore…with anything"

== "How have you been dealing with everything?"

--- "To be honest I just haven’t done anything. I mean, I’m trying to move on, I just don’t know how"

==  "Have you visited your moms grave? I know it sounds weird but even though she cant talk back doesn’t mean you cant talk to her."

---  "What do I say?"

==  "What ever you feel like you need to tell her. Before you can move on and get your life back…before you can be happy again…you have to get all the stuff you want to tell her off your chest."

---  "So I talk to her and then what, everything is going to be ok again."

==  "I’m not saying that, I’m saying it’s a start. Go talk to her, don’t analyze, just talk. Then just find away to start over, go back to doing the things you love. Before your mom got sick, what were some of the things you did that maybe you don’t do anymore?"

---  "I painted, drew, a lot….but I just lost interest"

== "That’s common…a lot of people find that the things they liked just didn’t matter anymore, like they were leaving that part of there life behind…..Try painting again. Try, instead of getting angry, paint, put all your emotions into it."

--- "Ok…"

==  "And Ashley, as much as you feel like your nothing, as much as you feel like your alone…. don’t push the people you care about the most away…. And that’s not your councilor speaking, that’s me speaking as someone who genially cares about you."

---"Thanks Mr. C"

Ashley let Mr. C’s words float around in her head for a couple of nights, and at there next session before the weekend they discussed it further. It was Friday and Ashley was laying in her bed looking at the ceiling, she was contemplating her options.
